Day 1
You'll fly into Fez and be met at the airport for your private transfer to your hotel.
Day 2
Today you'll enjoy a private tour of Old and New Fez; slightly misleading names as even "New" Fez is 700 years old! Today will help you get to grips with this labyrinth of a city.
Day 3
Relax and explore Fez at your own pace. You could also learn a bit about Moroccan cuisine with a cookery class, some great skills to take home with you!
Day 4
Today you'll have a half-day trip outside the city to visit the nearby mountain towns of Bhalil and Sefrou, which will give you a real insight into Berber living in northern Morocco.
Day 5
Your driver collects you today for your journey into the Rif Mountains, for two nights in blue-hued and beautiful Chefchaouen.
Day 6
Explore Chefchaouen under your own steam; this town is very small so easily explored on foot for a few hours, meandering around the little lanes.
Day 7
Your journey continues on to Tangier today, a port city made famous by the Beat writers. You'll stay here for two nights.
Day 8
Today you'll have a private tour of Tangier before being taken to the nearby coastal enclave of Tetouan, which was given UNESCO World Heritage status in 1997.
Day 9
You head south along the Atlantic coast today to the current capital of Morocco, Rabat, where you spend two nights.
Day 10
This morning you'll have a tour of Rabat with a local guide, including the dramatically-sited kasbah overlooking the river, and the atmospheric Chellah ruins.
Day 11
Head south down the Atlantic coast today to the fortified seaside town of El Jadida, for three nights to round off your holiday.
Days 12-13
You are at leisure to relax today. Go to the beach or explore the town: the Portuguese Cistern is a particular highlight.
Day 14
You'll have a private transfer back to Rabat of Fez Airport today in time for a flight home.

Although the south of Morocco gets more attention and recognition, the north has just as much to offer in the way of incredible ancient cities, stunning landscapes and the chance for some beach time. This itinerary covers three of the four “Imperial Cities”: Rabat, Meknes and Fez, as well as Tangier with its chequered past, the mountain enclave of Chefchaouen, and El Jadida – a quieter, less-developed version of more famous Essaouira.

The north is also more efficiently linked in terms of train travel, with most of these places well connected by rail. Some people use the network here and there to save money (first class tickets are extremely affordable) while others use it just for the romantic experience of train travel in a foreign land!

4 nights Fez – 2 nights Chefchaouen – 2 nights Tangier – 2 nights Rabat – 3 nights El Jadida
