Located in the tranquil, leafy Ourgaine Valley, Domaine Malika is subtly set into a low hillside, its earthy exterior designed to blend with the countryside. Inside, it’s a much more striking prospect, with bold art nouveau influences. These don’t completely dominate though and are balanced with elegant, more modern touches. The overall effect is very stylish without being over-the-top. Food is a major part of staying here, with a menu that changes daily in response to the ingredients available locally on the day. You can learn a bit more about the cooking with lessons offered on site, and there are a variety of excursions and hikes to do in the area. Alternatively you might like to ease out the stresses of everyday life with a hammam (sauna), massage and a book by the pool.
