From the outside, the neat brickwork, decorative domes and verdant gardens of La Sultana remind you of an oriental palace, and the staff make sure that this feeling is replicated once you walk through the doors. As you’d expect it’s very luxurious, but in an elegant and understated way; pastel shades of blue, green and cream mirror the ocean, beach and gardens, and the hotel makes the most of the beachside location, with cosy relaxation and dining options in secluded spots or on jetties. The spa is of a very high standard, and food (especially seafood) is superb. La Sultana is definitely the best beach hotel in the country, and amongst one of the best full-stop.
